A few times in life we stumble upon unexpected treasures at unexpected moments. As for me, the greatest treasure I received in life was friendship. However, having friends, how can one feel lonesome? Strange isn’t it? I find it strange too…I thought love would be a suitable solution for loneliness, turned out I was wrong there too. It takes a brave person to accept the truth, but some people are too cowardly to accept that, afraid of many things that lie ahead of them. But, if we don’t look ahead in life, how do we move forwards? Nobody knows what the future holds for us, nobody knows what we might encounter, what treasures we may find. People reading this might think that these are ramblings of a stranger, or otherwise. Family, friends, love, knowledge…Are these burdens or gifts of being alive? It depends on which perspective you look at really. Everything comes with its own pros and cons. Having a family is great of course, a family that loves and cares for you, but what if you have a family that despises you, a family that doesn’t give a damn about what happens to you? You’d rather not have a family, right? Elders always say: “Accept what you have, never ask for anything more, be thankful for what you have and others may not have…” But do they live up to their word? The answer is ‘No’. Its simply human nature, actions DO speak louder than words. You see your parents wanting this kind of clothing, this kind of ring, that brand of food, this car and that house. But shouldn’t they be grateful of what they have? Human desire, humans want better things, more things. This is called ‘greed’. If you think that high priests or bishops don’t have the nature of greed, you’re wrong. Why? Because they’d want more people to become religious, more people to go to church, to the mosques, but you can’t force people to do these things, it all comes naturally. Another strange thing is friendship. A GREAT gift indeed, I am thankful to have friends, because they are my companions in life, people whom I can trust and confide in. A great friend can tell what’s wrong with you in a minute, but you might not feel that he or she is a great friend after telling. Know what that means? Its another way of saying that its great having a good friend but sometimes their bad habits bring you down…For example, just an example really, but I know someone with this problem. A friend who ‘erased’ his existence from his life, but when a financial issue comes up, he comes and acts all friendly, asking for help. The irony. Well, in my case, it’s a bit different. I have tons of friends I suppose, you can put it that way, but of that bunch, how many actually think greatly of you? How many respect you? How much care for you? Which of them talk behind your backs? That leaves me in distress, it consumes me. Sometimes you’d rather not think about things like this but it’s simply inevitable. Onto another topic I suppose. Now, why would someone like me feel lonely when I have friends? I use to think that all my friends were great people, but once upon a time, that thought changed. During my earlier years, I had 3 good, no...great friends, something happened to me, I was insulted when only ONE of them came to me, asking me how I felt. 1/3 isn’t bad, but that changed my opinion in people. I choose my friends carefully, but you can’t avoid making friends with some people. Some may seem bad, but are loyal, some are kind towards you, but all they want out of you is something, hidden intentions some may call it…I call it sick, disgusting, and bullshit. A majority of people can hold in their angers, but what good does this do? Not showing it would mean you’re ‘okay’ some may assume…showing it would mean that you’re ‘bad’. This constantly happens. Now, about school and more about adults. Adults meaning, those that above the age of 30. Those below 30 are still reasonable enough to converse with. Right, school, a building where students gather to learn, study, and where education/knowledge is passed on from the teachers. Is it a fun place? Yes, in a way, because you can meet your friends and have your daily dose of chit-chat. Also, you get to see your crushes/lover or just stare at those beautiful hot chicks or macho-hot guys...*pen down*
